 Shelby specializes in marine boat canvas, interior boat upholstery, and seat repairs at Bimini Baby Boat Canvas.   

Using a commercial walking-foot sewing machine suited specifically for marine applications, she creates and repairs custom canvas tops, enclosures, seats, and soft goods built to perform in real-world conditions under demanding production standards — bringing refined craftsmanship and elevated canvas solutions to boaters across Lake Simcoe.

A lifelong watercraft enthusiast with a long-standing passion for design and sewing, Shelby has undertaken professional training certification through the Boat Canvas University, USA learning from the world's best at a globally recognized facility and certification program dedicated exclusively to marine canvas fabrication, 

upholstery, and repair. This specialized accreditation matters because it ensures work is completed using marine-specific construction standards, correct materials, and proven fabrication techniques — resulting in canvas products that are durable, weather-resistant, and precisely fitted for life on the water.

That craftsmanship is backed by a deep restoration background. Shelby spent the past decade in professional restoration, fibreglass, and gel coat repairs — much of it at the renowned Radical Restoration shop in Barrie, where her work was featured on the TV series Radical Rods. She still offers fibreglass and gel coat work, giving her a rare, well-rounded understanding of how a vessel comes together from the hull up. Today, though, custom canvas and upholstery are where her focus and passion lie.
